The office is closed on weekends and major holidays, as well as at times when Drs. Ruud, Flores-Mir and staff are attending continuing education seminars.
Our Mission
At Diane Ruud Orthodontic Associates, our mission is to provide current and scientifically based information to our patients so they can make choices based on their own individual needs. In our day-to-day business, we pride ourselves on our staff understanding patient concerns and the need for ongoing care. We adhere to a philosophy of maintaining good orthodontist-patient and staff-patient relationships.
Appointments
Time between your appointments and length of time will vary depending on the type of treatment required. We will inform you when a longer appointment is required so that you can make arrangements with your school or employer to be away for a longer period.
Since most of our patients are either in school or employed, late afternoon appointments are highly desired. We have, therefore, reserved shorter appointments, such as archwire adjustments and retainer checks, for the “prime time” slots. As a result, most of the longer appointments will need to be booked during less busy times of the day, i.e. between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
You will be able to schedule only one appointment in advance. This will allow all our patients to have equal opportunity for “prime time” appointments. We have found that school authorities and most employers are quite understanding and cooperative when patients occasionally miss time from school or work for orthodontic adjustments. We do provide confirmation notes upon request.
In the event that an appointment needs to be rescheduled, we ask that you contact our office as soon as possible so that we may offer your appointment to someone else.
We realize that your time is important, so please call for emergency appointments prior to arriving. This will avoid long waiting periods and will help keep us on schedule. Thank you for your cooperation.
Insurance
Our office is committed to helping you understand your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
